The effervescence of our relentless drive and zeal to achieve the unity amongst all cadres has atlast in now visible and felt, a dream come true through this all important document “THE CONSTITUTION” of our Association. The three decades of trials and tribulations, extensive experiences of intense pains and frustrations of both the associations, have made us to realize that to go anywhere near to our goal and fulfill our member’s aspirations, cohesiveness and solid unity is an absolute must. The historic achievement of amalgamation having gone through, it was the duty of this drafting body to present a Constitution embodying in it all the experiences and lessons learnt while passing through various situations over the years.
Now it is upto you, in whose hands this unique document is now placed, to uphold and defend the contents of this Constitution in its true letter and spirit. This, we wish, should be kept as a live document to enable us meet the changing situations, incorporating necessary amendment as the times demand. Thus it shall continue to reflect the sum total of our combined efforts in the direction of helping our members and finding newer paths of enhancing the well being of every one of us. Let us hope we will be able to stand up to the ideals set forth herein and march ahead with confidence, vigour and commitment.
Memorandum of understanding : Whereas several changes have taken place in the political, social and economic setup of country and the State, resulting in changes in the pattern of medical and health care delivery and administration.
Whereas the A.P. Civil Surgeons Association and A.P. Civil Assistant Surgeons Associations during their existence of more than two and half decades have gone through many facets of struggles and achievements with relentless efforts for the fulfillment of the hopes and aspirations of their members.
Whereas experience gained during the last two and half decades has shown tremendous trust and enthusiasm in the coordinated approach by both the associations waging struggles to achieve their common demands.
And whereas practical experience has clearly dictated the need to bring about merger of the associations and form a common association known here-inafter as the A.P. GOVERNMENT DOCTORS ASSOCIATION (MODERN MEDICINE) and to adopt the constitution of the association to keep pace with the changed conditions.
Now therefore this combined General Body of the Andhra Pradesh Civil Surgeons Association and Andhra Pradesh Civil Assistant Surgeons Association meeting at Eluru during IInd Joint Convention on 24th January 1994; hereby resolve, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by their respective constitutions to enact and adopt this constitution of the A.P. Govt. Doctors Association (Modern Medicine) as herein set out (on the day of the commencement of the constitution).
